The consortium consists of top research teams in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning (JSI), computational social science (UNIVE) and linguistics (UCY). Effective deployment and long-terms sustainability will be ensured by an experienced SME (Textgain). The policies proposed will be disseminated to the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual media services (ERGA), where the Italian communication regulator (AGCOM) is heading a task force. The expertise of the partners is complementary to assure a multidisciplinary approach to hate speech from the perspective of legislation, network analysis, automated text analysis and linguistics.
The project partners geographically (and language, country, culture and legislation wise) cover a migration entry point (Italy, Cyprus), transition (Slovenia) and target (Belgium).
